Thar is the landmark that mostly contains Southern region of Pakistan, Sindh province. Previously its size was bigger than present, but after partition, the part that went to India is named as Rajasthan and other that went to Punjab of Pakistan is called Cholistan. These two sub regions of deserted India and Pakistan actually were names of two small villages. Thar desert is one of the rarest deserts in the world that contains population of both plants and animals on a greater scale. It is very hot in Summer days and cold in nights. It is very dry area and lacks water throughout the year. The rainfall is unusual and if it rains, rains for days upto 36 to 400cm per year in only July-August and somehow in late winter.
